What is SEIS?
The Socio-Economic Insights Survey (SEIS) is a research initiative designed to understand the everyday realities of Ukrainian refugees living in Romania. It focuses on five key areas: protection, housing, employment, healthcare, and education.
The findings go directly to organizations like UNHCR to help them design services and support systems based on what people actually need.
How to participate
Registration is open until June 10th. By registering, you may be selected to take part in the full survey. Participation is completely voluntary, but every response makes the picture more accurate and the support more effective.

Why it matters
Most support programs are built on incomplete data. SEIS exists to close that gap by putting real experiences at the center of policy and practice. Your input helps every Ukrainian navigating the same challenges in Romania right now.
SEIS 2026 is a collaboration between UNHCR, the Center for Comparative Migration Studies (CSCM), and ReMAP — the Refugee and Migration Academia and Practitioners Network.
